Reaching the Isle of Arran is a scenic and enjoyable experience, with three convenient ferry routes:

- Direct rail connections from Glasgow to Ardrossan Harbour make this route ideal for public transport users.

- Rail services to Troon, with a connecting bus service to the harbour.

The ferry crossing itself is a beautiful experience, with amazing views of the surrounding scenery and regular sightings of dolphins, porpoises and humpback whales.

There is a bus service available from Brodick to Blackwaterfoot.
